The customer’s environment had one data center, comprising over 250 Windows servers. The complete environment was scanned and analyzed with a single Vanguard server using the Agentless Scanning method to generate Cloud feasibility reports.

Assessment for Cloud Migration
The customer, a South Africa-based Technology University, approached one of Corent’s partners, requiring them to carry out a complete scan and assessment of its data center to generate a migration feasibility report.
Corent’s partner sought to deliver Cloud assessment services to its customer using MaaS. The partner assessed the customer’s environment using MaaS and generated detailed reports, explaining the migration feasibilities for its data center and servers. The detailed reports were shared with the customer.
Challenges:

Identifying the list of available IP addresses at the data center.

Using the Agentless Scanning approach through a single vanguard to get the desired information.
Network discovery was used to discover the IP addresses in the network.
To ensure information sanctity and security, MaaS encrypted all the collected data.
MaaS determined the network layout and generated a cost analysis report to offer optimum information on the migration strategy. MaaS also generated Cloud-dependent advisories for the customer.
Using move group and strategic analysis reports, MaaS predicted the exact move groups by identifying the dependencies between servers
