Assessment for AWS Cloud Migration
The Brazil-based customer represents 35 industrial unions, comprising a whole gamut of industries. It’s a major collaborator with public authorities in streamlining the business landscape. The customer approached one of Corent’s partners, seeking expert advice on the potential of Cloud migration.
Corent’s partner used MaaS to deliver Cloud assessment services to the Brazilian customer by scanning and assessing their datacenter to generate detailed reports. The reports on migration feasibilities for the datacenter and its servers were shared with the customer.

Challenges:
The customer wanted their source servers to be scanned and assessed without the use of an agent.
Identifying the inter-server communication, and then carrying out a dependency mapping.
Carrying out an extended scan to pinpoint server utilization followed by identifying the suitability for AWS Cloud migration.
Performing as-is migration (Lift and Shift) of the servers to AWS Cloud.
Ensuring zero-point synchronization after migration and production readiness, besides cleaning up the scan residue.
Solution:
The partner used MaaS to carry out an agentless can on the source servers.
MaaS identified the communication ports, along with process information and ID, based on which inter-server dependencies were identified.
MaaS helped the partner carry out extended scan to collate utilization data on CPU, memory, and network, based on which equivalence match for right sizing was calculated. A plan was charted based on the Cloud parameters for migration to AWS Cloud.
MaaS offered precise strategies to shift the environment to the Cloud using Lift and Shift.
MaaS suggested optimum migration plans, using which the partner ensured production readiness and zero downtime post-migration.
Result:
By using MaaS, the partner helped the customer to analyze their datacenters and formulate an optimum migration strategy.
